COMPANY OVERVIEW
A family-run Japanese company with more than 200 years of history is looking for a Logistic Manager (m/f/d) .  The company became the top brand of pet food in Japan and is also expanding internationally to make pets and their owners around the world happy.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The main objective of this position is to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company.
  • Will be the one to coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods

This position will report to European Director and General Manager and assist in team activities including but not limited to:
  • Direct, coordinate and optimize deliveries from the warehouse in Germany as well as production site in Thailand to customers in European countries, ensuring that specific requirements of each customer are fulfilled.
  • Supervise / monitor various logistics operations such as preparation of multilingual labels and display assembling.
  • Define purchase quantity considering expiry date, sales forecast, historical data, promotion schedule, etc. and place order to the production site after obtaining approvals from authorities.
  • Coordinate with the production site in Thailand to ensure that the correct order quantity is ready to be shipped out on a timely basis. Adjust order quantity if necessary.
  • Monitor container’s delivery schedule and give updates to the sales team and customers.
  • Manage, monitor, and evaluate stock level of each article in order to maintain optimal inventory. Take corrective actions such as restricting order quantity, requesting sales team for accurate forecasts, suggesting clearance sale, etc. if necessary.
  • Regularly report inventory status and issues to the European managing director as well as Japanese headquarter.
  • Monitor inventory of the supplementary warehouse in Spain.
  • Track inbound and outbound deliveries and monthly update stock lists of warehouses in Germany and Spain.
  • Communicate closely with the warehouse staffs to plan/implement necessary procedures and improve operational flow.   
  • Create forecasts for required pallet quantity and order volume for the coming months
  • Ensure that the data sent to the warehouse for article and customer registration as well as dairy order submission is accurate.
  • Control invoices from the logistics partners and negotiate quotations if necessary.
  • Work with other departments to realise new operational procedure to fulfil requirements from Japanese headquarter.
  • Resolve arising problems or complaints by customers related to delivery quantity and conditions.
  • Supervise Logistic team & Train new employees


JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a high-end retail e- Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strategic thinking and analytical abilities
  • Project management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Englisch. German and Japanese are advantageous.
  • Team Management
  • This is a full-time position.
  • Candidate must be able to regularly commute to the office.
  • Must be able to write the report in English and submit in a timely manner.
