COMPANY OVERVIEW
A renowned Japanese manufacturer specializing in automotive chemicals is seeking a Senior Accountant for their office in the Greater Düsseldorf area, who could be a potential Financial Planning & Analysis professional eventually for their office in the Greater Düsseldorf area. Located in the south of Düsseldorf, commuting is easily achieved by car, but public transport is also available.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the accounting and financial planning department (not only management, sometimes includes operational tasks due to their not too big organization)
- Set and implement financial targets
- Manage and optimize controlling and financial processes
- Monitor and control debtors, creditors, and cash entries
- Prepare financial statements and balance sheets according to HGB, JGAAP, and IFRS standards
- Report to tax authorities, including advance turnover tax returns
- Set and track financial KPIs, and manage and monitor budget plans and cash flow
- Collaborate with internal and external customers, suppliers, auditors, and banks
- Serve as the primary access point for internal and external audits
- Conduct product-specific profitability analysis and cost management
- Perform financial and numerical analysis
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Native-level proficiency in German and business-level proficiency in English
- Over 5 years of experience in corporate accounting
- Knowledge of German tax and commercial law
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Qualification in financial accounting
