COMPANY OVERVIEW
An established medium-sized company based in Jena with a history of over 30 years and part of a global group with production sites in Germany, Japan, and the USA is currently looking for a Cutting Machine Operator (conventional and CNC) (m/f/d). This company supplies products for drive technology to various industries including machinery, semiconductor, optics, medical technology, aerospace, and many others.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setup and operation of conventional and CNC-controlled machine tools or manufacturing systems with controls from various manufacturers
- Independent programming of the machines for machining different complex workpieces according to production orders and drawing specifications
- Determination of processing parameters considering the different materials
- Inspection of the manufactured components for dimensional deviations and, if necessary, independent elimination of the cause of errors and implementation of self-corrections
- Maintenance and care of the existing machines, facilities, and measuring tools
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A training as a cutting machine operator (m/f/d) or as a skilled worker in metal technology with a focus on machining (m/f/d) or another technical training
- Ability to read, understand, and implement technical drawings
- Comprehensive and good knowledge in programming CNC-controlled machines
- Proficient handling of various measuring and testing tools to verify product characteristics
- Independent, self-reliant, structured, and meticulous working style
- Commitment and team spirit
- Willingness to work in a shift system (2-shift or 3-shift)
