COMPANY OVERVIEW
A Japanese chemical manufacturer with over 70 years of history, specializing in the automotive industry, is seeking a Manufacturing Operations and SCM Manager at Chemical Production Site (m/f/d). The production site is located in the southern part of Greater Düsseldorf, offering convenient commuting by car.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Planning: Support and optimize production scheduling to meet demand and resource utilization.
Procurement & Purchasing: Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and materials.
Logistics Coordination: Manage the flow of Raw Materials to ensure efficient delivery and minimize lead times.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring alignment with production schedules and company objectives.
ERP Project Leadership: Lead and implement projects for production planning using ERP systems, driving operational efficiency and accuracy.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for optimization within supply chain processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Native-level Germany and Business-level English.
Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in supply chain/operations management, including production planning, procurement, purchasing, and logistics in a manufacturing environment.
Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations, not just partial, but the entire production process.
Knowledge and interest in systematizing and improving factory operations.
Previous involvement in ERP-based production planning projects is advantageous (not mandatory).
