COMPANY OVERVIEW
A prominent player in the construction industry with a rich heritage spanning over a few centuries from Japan is looking for Financial Accountant.
They have been active in Europe for more than 50 years with more than 600 employees in 13 countries.
They are known for innovative architecture and construction, the company integrates architectural design, engineering, and construction through its unique Design & Build system.
It focuses on sustainability, emphasizing energy efficiency, renewable resources, and advanced technologies. The company serves multinational clients in various industries, including automotive, electronics, food, health, and logistics.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Migration of the new IT system "Microsoft Business Systems" (data transfer).
Account reporting (Excel).
Support in documentation for auditors (Excel).
Booking daily statements for liquidity pooling / cash pooling.
Opening and managing bank guarantees for all branches in the EU.
Creating and reviewing cash, bank, and deposit reports for Japan.
Support in real estate accounting.
Migration (data transfer) to the newly introduced accounting system from Microsoft (Business Central).
Contact person for the tax compliance system.
Contact person for auditors.
Support in tax reporting.
Preparing two annual financial statements [for Europe (in December) + for Japan (in July)].
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Completed commercial training (e.g., banking, wholesale & foreign trade) with further training as a financial accountant or balance sheet accountant, or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance with initial work experience.
Essential accounting knowledge.
Knowledge of HGB and IAS/IFRS accounting standards.
Basic knowledge of consolidation.
Experience with bank guarantees.
Preferably some experience in international companies.
Language Skills: German – at least C1 (spoken and written), English – at least B1 (spoken and written).
