JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development and optimization of the finance/controlling department.
- Technical leadership of all staff in the finance department regarding finance and controlling topics.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the German GmbH.
- Calculation, monitoring, and posting of provisions and accruals.
- Execution of intercompany reconciliations.
- Management of fixed asset accounting according to HGB (German GAAP) and IFRS.
- Timely preparation of monthly reports and providing competent support to management, e.g., by preparing analyses, budget vs. actual comparisons, and ad-hoc evaluations.
- Preparation and alignment of budget, forecast, and special analyses.
- Establishing and maintaining cost center and cost type structures.
- Management of all open items (OPs).
- Preparation, calculation, and documentation of the annual inventory in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Point of contact and collaboration with auditors, tax advisors, and tax authorities.
- Support during tax audits.
- Advisor for all questions regarding international and German financial reporting standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Completed business studies or completed commercial training with several years of professional experience in accounting (certification as a certified accountant would be an advantage).
- Familiar with corporate (international) structures.
- Strong affinity for numbers and good knowledge of German tax law.
- Proficiency with common MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Good knowledge of SAP (preferably SAP Business One).
- Analytical thinking skills, quick comprehension, and goal-oriented work style.
- Pronounced hands-on mentality and high self-initiative.
- Ability to work confidently under time pressure.
- German and English Business proficiency
