COMPANY OVERVIEW
A family-run Japanese company with more than 200 years of history is looking for a Junior Logistics staff (m/f/d). The company became the top brand of pet food in Japan and is also expanding internationally to make pets and their owners around the world happy.

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing shipping orders and related documents such as packing lists and batch number lists, ensuring customer requirements are met.
  • Monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Entering data of incoming containers into order management software.
  • Responding to inquiries from the sales team and logistics partners.
  • Monitoring inventory and correcting discrepancies.
  • Occasionally handling the shipping and receiving of packages by courier.
  • Overseeing inventory in our Regional Distribution Center (DC) in Southern Germany.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of data sent to the warehouse for article and customer registration as well as daily order submission.
  • Managing invoices from logistics partners when necessary.
  • Improving and adapting existing processes as needed.
  • Taking on additional projects.
  • Determining reorder quantities based on sales data and inventory levels.
  • Collaborating with the sales teams to process orders and ensure timely dispatch to our Regional DC.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Business-level English and good German proficiency.
  • MS-Office.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Communicative and reliable team player.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience with demand forecasting and inventory optimization.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated experience with stock reordering, creating sales orders, and transportation/logistics.
